We will also cover the fault code alerts that the system utilises and cover in detail what these mean and the action required to rectify the fault.

This year we will have a representative from CZONE join us as part of our expert presenters at this workshop to ensure that everyone that attends can receive attention to their individual questions.

Power Management Master Class

This advanced knowledge workshop will help you understand your onboard power system and how best to manage this whilst living aboard. ..

Gain a valuable insight into the highly sophisticated power resources of your motor yacht. The more familiar you are with your yacht’s sophisticated electrical system, the more prepared you will be when you are living aboard for days or weeks at a time. Our experts will cover in-depth shore power, your generator(s), battery chargers, your inverter and its circuits and engine alternators. Understand the various battery sizes fitted by Riviera and what they mean and how you can make the most of your lithium battery bank. Learn how to monitor your power usage and importantly your recharge rates, so your system is always fully optimised.

Another key topic covered by this master class will be understanding solar power systems and the new technologies that are coming to understand what good, engineered designs may be able to achieve.

Navigation Introduction and Refresher Course

Our experts will conduct this informative session covering high level essential navigation knowledge and practices.

Topics covered in this workshop will include.. the basics of electronic chart systems, the use of AIS and MARPA and evaluating the accuracy and quality of position fixes. Other topics will include the limitations and potential errors associated with GPS, the correct interpretation of navigational data, navigation in restricted visibility and watchkeeping responsibilities. This course is ideal as an introduction to navigation or extremely valuable as a refresher for those who have been boating for many years. Sentinel is the new real-time remote monitoring system now being fitted by Riviera that will keep you connected to your motor yacht 24/7....

Our experts will guide you through the use and operation of the Sentinel system that is fitted to all new Riviera yachts or can be retrofitted to existing yachts. Using the 4G network, the system monitors a range of key data including GPS location/position (including a geo-fence alarm), previous trip information, selected NMEA alerts, house battery voltage, shore power, saloon motion detector, aft and midships bilge pump activity and tank levels.

Selected items can also be controlled remotely via the Sentinel App including selected lights, refrigeration, air-conditioning, pumps and the CZONE dock Unattended mode.

Learn how to handle a planning hull yacht in varying sea conditions from a master skipper who has cruised Riviera motor yachts from Australia to Singapore, across the Pacific and the Tasman Sea to traversing almost every nautical mile of the Australian coastline. You will learn how to properly prepare and plan an offshore voyage, including adding fuel from bladders for extended range aboard your Riviera. You will also discuss the reasons yacht engines stop, diagnosing dirty fuel, overheating, broken belts, blocked sea strainers and broken impellers. You will receive a checklist of pre-departure processes covering batteries, spare parts, and essential items to keep onboard, such as a spare freshwater pump. Dare to Pair - An onboard culinary experience with Sally Jenyns

This year our resident TV chef Sally Jenyns has a real culinary treat instore. Using some of the... exquisite wines crafted by Savina Lane, a highly- awarded boutique Queensland winery as inspiration, Sally will prepare for you a number of dishes that will demonstrate the art of simple and delightful onboard entertaining, with the added dimension of pairing food with selected wine varietals. We’ll also have the vigneron Brad Hutchings from the winery to add a further dimension to the wine that you will be able to savour along with some of Sally’s creations during this flavoursome and fun-filled workshop.

Sally will also cover practical tips and tricks for menu selection, fresh food storage, food preparation and meal planning during her presentation.
